The Bahrain Historical and Archaeological Society organized a seminar on the history of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, as part of its 72nd cultural season, at the society\u2019s headquarters in Juffair. The event was attended by members from both societies, volunteers, and those interested in cultural and humanitarian affairs.
\nThe evening highlighted the key milestones in the society\u2019s journey and its pioneering role in promoting the values of volunteerism, relief work, and national service both within the Kingdom and abroad, in addition to its humanitarian contributions throughout various stages and events.
\nIn his speech during the event, Mr. Adel Al-Jar reviewed the development path of the society since its establishment and its role in supporting humanitarian initiatives launched from Bahrain to the outside world. He affirmed that the Bahrain Red Crescent Society has, over the past decades, served as a national model in spreading the values of giving and social responsibility. He also emphasized that preserving this humanitarian legacy is a collective responsibility that requires documentation and continuous communication between generations.
\nFor her part, Dr. Nilofer Jahromi focused on the volunteer aspect of the society\u2019s work, explaining that the efforts made in training and qualifying volunteers have always been a fundamental pillar in sustaining humanitarian action. She also highlighted the prominent role of Bahraini women in the society\u2019s journey and their effective contributions across various fields of relief and community service.
