The workshop aimed to improve and develop the capacities of National Societies volunteers in the region in promoting the activities of the National Societies\u2019 programs Mental health and psychosocial support in order to achieve a feasible response in emergencies and various relief and humanitarian work situations.<\/p>\n<p>During the workshop, participants were trained on how to launch and lead mental health and psychosocial support programs more effectively, and the mechanism for using guidelines and training manuals related to the application of best practices in the field of mental health and psychosocial support services, as well as the monitoring and follow-up system in emergency situations, in addition to contributing to Building the capacities of their fellow workers and volunteers in this field.<\/p>\n<p>The Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, Mr. Mubarak Al-Hadi, confirmed that participation in this workshop comes within the framework of the Society\u2019s keenness to build and strengthen the capabilities of its cadres in the field of mental health, which has become an integral part of the relief and humanitarian aid provided by volunteers to those affected by disasters, wars and others, expressing the keenness of The Society maintains constant and effective communication with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies with the aim of developing various aspects of work and benefiting from common experiences and expertise.<\/p>\n<p>The Secretary-General also stressed that this training also contributes to activating the initiatives and psychological support programs provided by the Bahrain Red Crescent Society to citizens and residents in light of the continuing exceptional health conditions imposed by the Corona pandemic, especially for people who are most afraid of infection with the virus or those who have lost a loved one as a result of infection. with it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bahrain Red Crescent Society participated in a regional workshop organized by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on \u201cCapacity Building on Leadership in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support\u201d over a period of five days in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
