The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) is currently reviewing and developing its work strategy to respond effectively to the needs of relief and humanitarian work inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain in light of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, BRCS Director-General and Acting Secretary-General, Mubarak Al Hadi, said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said during a meeting at the Society\u2019s headquarters in the presence of committees\u2019 heads, volunteers and executive management that the Bahrain Red Crescent Society is adequately prepared to maintain its support for the health sector in Bahrain, stressing the society\u2019s eagerness to fully advance its national obligations in this field.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Society\u2019s new strategy includes a significant focus in responding to urgent relief appeals and preparing cadres and volunteers to be always ready to deal with emergencies and crises, such as natural and health disasters and refugee relief and others. Society continues at the same time its work to provide regular assistance to needy families.\u201d Mr. Al Hadi added.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He affirmed the society\u2019s keenness to adopt the concept of strategic planning to move forward in activating its work to provide relief and humanitarian aid to those in need inside and outside Bahrain, within the framework of sustainable institutional work, and to develop the future vision of the Society and the various activities it undertakes. He added that the Society is committed to own a strategic plan that outlines the proper mechanism to respond to relief calls around the world, taking into account all urgent incidents, and external and internal shifts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“BRCS” Director-General\/Act General Secretary stated that the Red Crescent Society relies heavily on volunteers in the implementation of its programs, plans and initiatives. \u201cWe are working to provide the proper environment to attract dedicated Bahraini youth, and providing training programs in cooperation with our partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to build the capabilities and activate the potential of volunteers, and allow them to shoulder their responsibility towards their homeland and humanity as a whole.
