Bahrain Red Crescent Society is a volunteer charity founded in 1971. It has been recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva since 14 September 1972, and joined the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in the same year. The aim of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society is to achieve the following humanitarian purposes:
- Contribute with our international movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in alleviating human suffering
- Provide social services and humanitarian aid.
- Training and qualification of volunteers to work according to the principles of the movement. Contribute to the dissemination of international humanitarian law, to provide services and assistance to the needy.
