The Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, Mr Mubarak Al-Hadi, received a special honour in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, for his career in the field of relief and humanitarian work, which extends for about fifty years.
The “Egypt Foundation for Health and Sustainable Development” in Cairo announced the honouring of Mr Al Hadi during the Arab Forum for Health, Environment and Humanitarian Action under the patronage of His Excellency the former Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Mr Amr Moussa, and in the presence of His Excellency Mr Mohamed Al-Orabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt.
This honour came through the granting of the Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society the “Award for Excellence and Creativity in Humanitarian Work”, which is granted to owners of social, charitable and humanitarian initiatives, as well as to founders and heads of civil, charitable and development institutions and associations who have prominent and influential activity within their communities.
This honour was given in the presence of a variety of accomplished individuals from various fields, including business and arts, as well as inspirational figures who have made significant contributions to society. These individuals included businessman Mr Khalid Ali Al-Amin, journalist Nasser Mohammed, Hala Kamal Al-Din, and Counselor Ibtihaj Khalifa, as well as members of the Gulf community and notable Arabs.
