Mr. Mubarak Al Hadi, Bahrain Red Crescent Director-General/Act General Secretary, affirmed the society’s keenness to develop its programs and services to meet the emerging needs of those who deserve support and relief in light of the exceptional circumstances imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic on Bahrain and the world, pointing out that the next year’s strategy of the Society will focus on programs that support needy families in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to providing special support for health efforts to prevent the pandemic.
This was discussed during his participation in a webinar organized by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in addition to the participation of the head of the Federation’s mission to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, Dr. Fawzi Amin, and the Head of Public Relations Committee of the Society, Mr. Ali Kadhem.
“It’s very essential to boost the level of coordination between the various relief agencies around the world, and exchanging experiences between volunteers in a way that contributes to achieving the desired goals of relief and humanitarian work and serving communities in the best possible way. We also praise the efforts performed by the Federation to encourage various forms of humanitarian activities for National Societies to prevent and mitigate human suffering, and to contribute to the preservation and advancement of human dignity and peace in the world.” Al Hadi added.
Al Hadi concluded his statement by pointing out that the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, as part of the “Team Bahrain” to respond to the pandemic, is keen to promote the Bahraini model that has proven its leadership in facing the negative health, economic and social impacts of the pandemic, pointing out that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to record these success stories by providing the vaccine against the virus or free for all citizens and residents through 27 health centers spread in different regions.
