The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has generously donated US$ 100,000 as humanitarian relief assistance to the Sudanese people in response to the ongoing crisis that has rendered thousands homeless and in dire need of assistance.
This significant donation was approved by the esteemed Board of Directors of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society. It reflects the Society’s commitment to providing relief contributions to the Sudanese people who find themselves in challenging circumstances. Society stands in solidarity with them, recognizing the urgency of their situation and aiming to help them overcome their current difficulties.
This compassionate act is part of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society’s ongoing efforts to extend support and assistance to those in need across the globe. By continuously striving to provide aid and care, the Society aims to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable individuals and communities around the world.
This donation was handed over by Mr. Mubarak Al Hadi, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, to the Chargé d’Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdulrahman Ali Abdul Rahman, at the Society’s headquarters in the Diplomatic Area.
The Bahrain Red Crescent Society also coordinates with a number of charitable NGOs in the Kingdom of Bahrain in order to deliver more donations to the Sudanese people, based on its objectives towards strengthening humanity and international solidarity and achieving peace and stability in the world, within the framework of its close relations with international relief institutions and organizations.
The Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, Mr. Mubarak Al Hadi, said that the provision of this donation comes in solidarity with the current difficult circumstances faced by the brothers in Sudan, and in response to the urgent need for what they lack from the basic requirements of life, noting that the Society rushed to take all necessary administrative procedures to transfer this donation, and sent a letter in this regard to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent.
“The internal situation in some Sudanese cities has increased the urgent and emergency needs for medicine, food, drinking water, shelter and clothing, prompting BRCS to make this donation to provide the necessary materials needed by hospitals, homes and families there.” According to Mr. Al Hadi.
For his part, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdulrahman Ali Abdul Rahman, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Bahrain Red Crescent Society for this generous donation, stressing that this donation will contribute significantly to alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people in this humanitarian crisis, noting that Bahrain is always proactive in providing assistance to those affected by various crises and disasters.
