The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has allocated 15 of its volunteers to fully work in the front lines facing the Corona pandemic at the new Bahrain Terminal.
This is in coordination with the Bahrain Airport Company and within the framework of the Society’s active contribution in the field of supporting national efforts to tackle the pandemic, and to provide the necessary assistance in all fields.
Bahrain Red Crescent’s cadres, through this role at Bahrain International Airport, are keen to carry out all the tasks to the fullest, including serving the visitors to the Kingdom of Bahrain by guiding them on how to conduct COVID-19 tests and providing logistical support for workers of medical and health cadres, this is done under the supervision of the Head of First Aid Committee, Mr. Kadhem Alqallaf.
Mr. Mubarak Al Hadi, Bahrain Red Crescent General Secretary, said that these volunteers have been trained on dealing with the pandemic, and giving advice and guidance to all people who take the COVID-19 test, in addition to the working mechanism established by the Kingdom of Bahrain in this regard through the application of a “Be Aware”.
“We are honored to see Red Crescent volunteers working in the front lines, as this sends a civilized message from the Kingdom of Bahrain to all visitors at the airport, especially the Kingdom’s guests from official delegations, tourists, and others.” Mr. Al Hadi said.
It is noteworthy that the Bahrain Red Crescent Society has been at the forefront of national efforts to tackle the COVID-19 virus and has been involved in various aspects of the material, awareness-raising, volunteering, and community-based support. The society also contributed to training more than 900 Bahraini volunteers on how to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Department of the Ministry of Interior and the Khalidiya Youth Society.
