The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has released a new edition of its periodic magazine “Al Hilal,” in which it reviews a number of the Society’s activities and events during the previous period and highlights Bahrain’s participation in regional and worldwide relief and humanitarian efforts.
The Society highlighted in this edition the international events that it organized or participated in, including the Kingdom of Bahrain chairing the meeting of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization, participating in the Dubai Relief Conference, and participating in various Gulf workshops, including a workshop on the role of media in humanitarian efforts, and an international symposium about legal protection in time of disputes.
This edition also documented several donations made by the Bahrain Red Crescent to the needy and afflicted around the world, including a donation to the Palestinian Red Crescent and the Lebanese Red Cross after the Beirut Port explosion disaster. It also included information on first and psychological aid, and the “Iphere” guide that sets the minimum standards for humanitarian response in humanitarian and relief work, in addition to meetings with prominent volunteers in the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, including Mr. Adel Hamad Al-Jar, a volunteer in the society since 1991, and Ali Kadhem Modon, and Sawsan Al-Aradi.
The Bahrain Red Crescent Society has been documenting its activities through this periodical for over 18 years. This periodical expresses the Bahrain Red Crescent’s position on a local, regional, and global scale. It’s published in 190 countries across the world through the Red Crescent organizations, bodies, and associations in those countries, and it helps to raise awareness of Bahrain’s high status in the field of relief and humanitarian work.
