The project aimed at involving Bahraini doctors in providing medical aid services to Syrian and Yemeni refugees at Jordanian Red Crescent Hospital in Amman.
Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society Dr. Fawzi Abdulla Amin said, “This project aims to provide medical and nursing aid for refugees and the displaced living through war and conflict, to intervention in areas hit by natural disasters. It also aimed at evolving doctors in medical aid volunteering, sharing expertise of medical and health experts in different parts of the world, training medical personnel in the most vulnerable areas and raising Bahrain to be one of the countries contributing in providing medical assistance in the region.”
Dr. Amin stressed that BRCS is keen to partner with Bahrain Medical Society (BMS), Bahrain Nursing Society and Medical colleges in Bahrain to set this project which will enable them to provide medical aid in Bahrain and abroad according to criteria to be agreed upon, specifying type, number of beneficiaries of this service and ways of serving it based on regulations applied in Bahrain.
