The Bahrain Red Crescent Society organized a training workshop on “First Aid” in cooperation with the “Smile” initiative, an initiative of Bahrain Future Society for Youth, and within the framework of the “Kids R Golden 9” campaign, which aims to spread awareness of cancer patients among various segments in Bahrain.
The workshop, which was held under the title “The Little Paramedic”, aimed to provide the heroes of “Smile” with the theoretical and practical information necessary to qualify them to provide first aid service to themselves and those in need when necessary.
The workshop included theoretical information about fractures, burns, nosebleeds, heat stroke, unconscious inspection and other cases that require first and rapid first aid intervention, in addition to explaining the solution of the contents of the first aid kit and other related topics.
The participants in the workshop were able to practically apply this information through models dedicated to this purpose, after making sure that they mastered the skills necessary to provide first aid to the injured before the arrival of the necessary medical assistance.
The Red Crescent Society organized this training at the headquarters of the “Smile” initiative located in the area of Um al-Hassam, as part of an ongoing program through which the Society works to train the category of children in first aid, where the child at this age is physically able to provide assistance after obtaining the correct information and training.
