Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) board has today convened for its regular meeting.
BRCS Chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa delegated his deputy Sadoq bin Abdulkarim Al-Shehabi to preside over the session.
Present were members Ali Mohammed Murad, Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Merrikhi, Dr. Faisal Al-Mousawi, Dr. Mariam Ibrahim Al-Hajeri, Fatima Abdulrahim and Dr. Kawther Mohammed Al-Eid.
BRCS Secretary-General Dr. Fawzi Amin and director-general Mubarak Khalifa Al-Hadi also attended the meeting.
Al-Shehabi paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, also BRCS Honorary President, hailing the support of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
He also commended the directives BRCS Chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa and the dedicated efforts of the board members, executives, heads of committees, members, administrative staff and volunteers.
Al-Shehabi reiterated the keenness of the association to strengthen its crucial role, bolster cooperation with its counterparts in other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries and promote its humanitarian relief aid programmes.
Dr. Amin addressed the session, outlining BRCS planned programmes and activities. Stressing particularly of strengthening partnership with the public and private sectors. Other key issues were also on the agenda of the meeting.
