Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) announced that social aid applications can be submitted through the society’s website. The Social Services Committee at (BRCS) will evaluate all the applications once received on the website and follow the necessary procedures.
Mr. Mubarak Al Hadi, “BRCS” Director-General / Act General Secretary, said that this electronic service comes within the framework of the society’s keenness to facilitate the benefit of the needy families from the aid. The Society also will ensure speedy workflow and simple procedures effectively and transparently, taking into account the social distancing and necessary precautionary measures to avoid Coronavirus “COVID-19” pandemic.
“The activity of the Social Services Committee in the Bahraini Red Crescent covers all regions of the Kingdom of Bahrain, where the committee studies cases of needy families and provides financial aid and in-kind assistance to them. The committee also studies new projects from time to time to provide sources of revenue for these families through social and vocational rehabilitation programs.” Al Hadi said.
“The number of families who are entitled to monthly aid currently are more than 300 families, and those with improved conditions are replaced by waiting lists, in addition to more than 4000 families that receive seasonal in-kind assistances. Bahrain Red Crescent Society is keen to continue activating its role in serving the Bahraini community, providing support to the needy segments, and providing them with the necessary humanitarian aid, and we are committed to the principle of “giving with dignity.” Al Hadi added.
Those wishing to benefit from the aid provided by the Society to needy families can log into the Society’s website and fill out the form, then re-upload it with the required documents such as smart card, medical reports or loan reports and other documents, if any.
