The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS), organized a two-day remote seminar with the participation of members of the Society’s Youth and Public Relations Committee. During the seminar, the foundations of humanitarian relief work were introduced and reviewed, in addition to the efforts of volunteers who practice this work in the Kingdom of Bahrain according to the best international standards.
The new members were introduced to the non-profit humanitarian projects, programs, and initiatives provided by the Bahrain Red Crescent as part of the diverse humanitarian work system so that each member could decide the appropriate field of work to achieve his required goals in volunteer work.
Mr. Mubarak Al Hadi, Bahrain Red Crescent Director-General/Act General Secretary, affirmed that this type of events comes within the Society’s keenness to intensify networking between its old and new members, exchange experiences among them, and prepare them to be in leadership positions in the future, and introduce them to the Bahrain Red Crescent projects, programs and goals, as part of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
“BRCS is keen to provide all the capabilities that serve the volunteer to become part of the society’s system of giving, as the members’ desire to join the society comes from the spirit of partnership and love of help and support within the framework of the local community from neighbors, relatives, and others, which in turn contribute to achieving many personal gains to the members, and also achieve general gains to the society as well.” Al Hadi added.
Dr. Nilofer Jahromi, Head of Young & Youth Committee, pointed out that the Bahrain Red Crescent provides its volunteer members with many new areas and opportunities for development and improvement in humanitarian work, which qualifies them to work directly with the specialized committees, as each member obtains sufficient training and qualification by certified trainers who have extensive experience and actual practice in this field, following the fundamental rules and principles of humanitarian work in the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, and in line with the general rules adopted internationally.
