The Bahrain Red Crescent Society “BRCS”, announced that it will provide financial support for the national efforts to fight the emerging coronavirus, in line with the society’s assumption of its role in providing aid and assistance in such critical situation and in compliance with its duty to support Bahraini society.
BRCS also provided similar financial support to the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, in response to an appeal by the Federation to collect donations from its members to use in combating coronavirus in the most infected areas around the world.
hailed the national efforts to limit the spread of coronavirus in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which was praised by WHO, stressing that these efforts contributed to preventing the spread of this virus, noting the awareness of Bahraini society and implementation of instructions related to preventing the spread coronavirus.
The acting Secretary-General, Director-General of the society, Mr. Mubarak Al Hadi said: “This donation comes within the framework of the efforts made by the Bahrain Red Crescent society to provide relief and humanitarian aid inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. The society took the initiative from the beginning to prepare its members to contribute to the voluntary efforts related to preventing the spread of coronavirus. We held several workshops for this purpose, then started holding meetings remotely through the internet to avoid direct meetings, following up the national directives in this regard.”
