The Bahrain Red Crescent Society partook in the meetings of the twenty-second session of the General Assembly of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which took place December 5 in Geneva. More than 1,800 General Secretariat of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, National Societies, volunteers and members of the international humanitarian movement participated at the meetings.
The Acting Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society – Director General of the Society, Mr. Mubarak Al Hadi, heads the delegation of the association to these meetings, with the participation of a the society’s member Dr. Fawzi Amin, head of public relations committee Mr. Ali Madan, head of youth committee Ms. Afaf Almahmood, and Mr. Abdulla Yasser.
The Bahrain Red Crescent Society has took the opportunity of this international conference to promote the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the humanitarian work worldwide, through the issuance and distribution of the 2020 calendar, which highlights the most prominent activities of the various society on the humanitarian and development levels, as this publication was distributed to a number of the movement’s officials International Humanity.
The Bahrain Red Crescent Society delegation also held meetings with the Arab Organization for the Red Crescent and the Red Cross in order to coordinate joint Arab efforts in the field of providing relief and humanitarian assistance, and to enhance cooperation in training and exchange of experiences.
This international participation of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society is opportunity to learn about the latest applications of providing assistance to the needy around the world, and to know the best practices in this field and resettle them in Bahrain.
