The Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, received at the Ministry’s General Court today, the Head of the International Federation of Red Cross and the Red Crescent of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Fawzi bin Abdullah Amin, and the Secretary-General of the Bahraini Red Crescent Society (BRCS) Mubarak bin Khalifa Al-Hadi.
The Assistant Foreign Minister praised the vital role of the Bahraini Red Crescent Society in providing relief assistance to humanitarian disasters at the regional and international levels. He also extended his congratulations to the society on its 49th anniversary.
He noted the outstanding initiatives and programmes of the society which contribute to spreading awareness of international humanitarian law and promote the culture of humanitarian assistance.
The Assistant Foreign Minister stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bahraini Red Crescent Society in order to help the society achieve its objectives.
For their part, Dr. Fawzi Amin and Mr. Al-Hadi expressed their appreciation for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ continued support for the activities and events of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, stressing the importance of consultation and coordination between the two sides to reinforce the Kingdom’s participation at the international level.
