The Bahrain Red Crescent Society has concluded its participation in the Bahrain International Garden Exhibition at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center.
In its four-day pavilion, the association presented a presentation of the “Charity Agricultural Project”, a project established by the association at its headquarters in the Diplomatic Zone. It is part of the National Initiative for the Development of the Agricultural Sector in Bahrain and provides a model for the possibility of investing any land available in agricultural production in a modern way , And contributes to increasing the vegetation cover in the urban areas of the Kingdom.
The secretary-general of the Bahraini Red Crescent, Dr. Fawzi Amin, stressed the importance of the Society’s participation in this regionally and internationally recognized exhibition. He pointed out that humanitarian and relief work also includes providing the needy groups with sustainable sources of blue water, including incentives and training for agricultural work. 
Dr. Amin pointed out that the Bahrain International Garden Exhibition is a platform for spreading awareness of the importance of preserving environmental resources and developing concepts related to climate change. Which calls for preventive measures and preparations for disaster preparedness. It is one of the most important activities of the Red Crescent societies in the world, pointing out that the Red Crescent Society is planning to conduct education programs for its members, volunteers, The public also expressed their role in this area in collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Reference Center for Climate Change, which organizes training courses that promote the concepts of preserving the Earth’s environment and preventing or mitigating climate disasters.
The “Charity Agricultural Project” coordinator, Dr. Neulover Geharmi, pointed out that the charitable agricultural project is part of the National Initiative for the Development of the Agricultural Sector in Bahrain and provides a successful model for the possibility of investing any available land in agricultural production in a modern way. To the needy families, the unemployed and the farmers who want to increase their productivity and contribute to increasing the vegetation cover in the urban areas of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
